“I was feeling exasperated by my attempts to lose weight. I have been dieting off and on for what seems like a lifetime, and I hit a point where I no longer wanted to “follow a program” to what seemingly always ended in only temporary results. I had recently gained a few pounds, and it was somewhat inexplicable to me. I think of myself as someone who eats a generally healthy diet, and I work out 5-6 days a week. I just didn’t know what to do anymore, and I was feeling stuck.Svetlana was the first person in a while who seemed to genuinely believe me that something else may be wrong outside of my diet. She encouraged me to do some deeper exploration beyond what my doctor had, and I learned some interesting things about how my body (namely my thyroid) is functioning. “This year when I went in for my yearly blood work my glucose level was high. The doctor said I was pre-diabetic, handed me a one page list of things to eat and said we will recheck your levels in 6 months. Since I had recently had several new stressors in my life the doctor felt maybe that was the cause of the rise in blood sugar. I was not happy with the one page of information I received. I was extremely concerned about moving from a pre-diabetic to a diabetic, which seemed like the path the doctor was satisfied with me moving toward. It was obvious if I wanted to prevent this that I needed to take charge of my treatment.I could not believe what was happening, I exercised at least 5 times a week (interval training, cardio, weight training and yoga) so between the combination of exercise and what I thought was a fairly healthy diet I was shocked at the news I received from my doctor.
The concern I had seeking help from a health coach was that I would be put on some crazy juice fast for 60 days and all sorts of supplements. Svetlana did not take that approach instead she has taught me how to make healthy food choices. She has taught me how to ready food labels. I like the way we set goals together, for example I am incorporating mediation, so I am starting with mediating two times a week. She offers website information on recipes and she gave me grains to sample and told me how to prepare them. We take things slow and at a pace that makes me comfortable.
I have been working with Svetlana for a little over a month and my glucose levels have returned to normal. I dropped weight, have increased energy levels, I do not come home from work tired and not wanting to do anything or having to force myself to do my household chores, and I have no joint pain.

“I am very happy with my results of the 12-day detox. In the past, especially recently, I’ve had issues with bloating, headaches and low energy, so I decided to give Svetlana’s 12-day detox a shot.
